Golf Fees

The Port Fairy Golf Club welcomes visitors to the course and club house facilities. The course is available to green fee players at most times however there is limited access on competition days or during major club events, tournaments and corporate days. Guests are invited to play during any competition rounds if they have a valid Golf Link number. Please contact the Pro Shop directly for inquiries to book for competitions and social play.

The Port Fairy Golf Club is a fully licensed venue. STRICTLY NO BYO ALCOHOL IS PERMITTED ON COURSE. (Beverages are available for purchase from the bar in the club house.)

Dress Regulations

Members and their guests are expected to maintain a neat appearance when visiting the Port Fairy Golf Club. Staff have been instructed to refuse entry to anyone not suitably attired. Acceptable standards of dress Include:

Trousers shorts & skirts – Tailored slacks, denim jeans, ¾ trousers (shorts), are deemed to be acceptable dress. Track suits, frayed and torn jeans (including fashion styles) are not acceptable wear.

Shirts & Knitwear – Collared or neat T shirt type tops that might carry designer logos are acceptable casual dress. Singlets or tank tops are not acceptable attire.

Footwear – Golf shoes are to be worn on the course and may also be worn in the “spike bar” within the clubhouse. Neat casual footwear generally is to be worn in the clubhouse. Bare feet and thongs are not acceptable foot wear.

Port Fairy Golf Club Heat Policy

The Port Fairy Golf Club has a responsibility to provide guidelines which support safe playing conditions for all players. In so much as this policy provides a set of rules to guide play, it is recognised that heat affects each person differently. As such, it remains the responsibility of the individual to recognise their capabilities and limitations and to act in accordance with them to stay safe in all playing conditions.

Scope
This policy applies to all members and green fee players.

Policy Statement

  • If the Bureau of Meteorology website is forecasting temperatures for Port Fairy of 37 degrees or greater, the staff are to open up earlier tee times for that day.
  • If the temperature as measured at the golf course reaches 37 degrees on any day golfers will be called off the course and the course closed.

The Club Captain, or if they are not available, the staff member in charge on the day is responsible for implementing this heat rule policy.

Refund Policy

No Refunds shall be given once payment has been made for Green Fees, unless the course is closed due to club heat policy (Temperature above 40 degrees) or if the course is unplayable.
